Entrance Audition Requirements

1. Candidates may audition starting at 6 years old.
2. Auditions are adjudicated individually and are not based on competition.
3. Candidates are notified of the audition results within one week following the auditions.
4. All candidates regardless of their age must play at least 2 contrasting pieces.
5. All audition repertoire must be performed from memory.
6. The candidate must provide the original music books or sheets.

Fees

1. Private piano lessons (60 min per week for 9 years old and up, 45 min per week for 7 and 8 years old, 30 min per week for 4 to 6 years old).

2. Master Classes (quarterly) fees are included in the lessons fee.
3. Young Artists School of Piano Concerts (bi-annual) fees are included in the lessons fee.
4. Young Artists School students participant Kiwanis or Canadian Music Competition entrance fee are not included in the lessons fee.
5. The Application and Registration fees of $50 are non-refundable.

Payment Policy

1. We accept cash, debit card, personal cheque, Visa & Master Card.
2. Discount of 3% on lump sum payment by cash, debit card and personal cheque for term of 13 lessons or more.
3. Students must renew their lessons 4 weeks before their term ends.
4. Students must give at least 4 weeks advance notice for the early withdrawal of lessons. The unused portion of payment will be refunded on a pro rata basis.
5. Reservation cannot be made unless the lessons are paid for.
6. A $30 charge for non-sufficient fund (NSF) cheques.
7. Lesson fee for age 16+ students may be eligible for income tax deduction.

Lesson Cancellation Policy

Students are allowed to have up to four private make-up lessons per year for vacation leave, sick leave and any other leaves. All make up lessons must be completed within 3 months. Lessons missed without 24 hour notice will be charged. Should the teacher miss the class, a make-up lesson will be arranged.
